Dress for the Occasion

Since there are many reasons to love laser tag, we know you are excited to play. Before you learn how to play laser tag, you need to dress for the game.

First and foremost, you’re going to want to wear all very dark or black clothing. Don’t worry, it can be made fashionable. If you wear light colors, you will be spotted more easily.

You’ll also need to have comfortable, closed-toe tennis shoes. Heels and flip-flops or sandals may cause you to trip. It’s a quick action game so that wouldn’t go well.

Once you’re dressed properly, it’s time to play! If you get cold easily, wear a jacket. Laser tag arenas can get cold.

Create a Plan

Before you head into the arena, you’ll learn the rules of laser tag by an employee of the arena. You’ll be given your laser, vest, and separated into teams. Make sure you are listening to all rules and safety guidelines.

Once you have your team, take any time you can to create a game plan. If some are more agile than others, have them go after the target in the arena. If some aim better than others, have them on the defense.

Game On

Finally, the moment you’ve been waiting for. You’re finally walking into the arena. It’s dark, and intense music is blasting in your ears.

As soon as you step inside, find a place with a great vantage point. This is usually an area of higher ground. Try not to move forward or backward. It’s best to go sideways like a crab.

Get to a higher ground, but make sure your back is covered. Use the walls and props in the arena to your advantage. Stay aware of your surroundings.

While you’ll be excited and want to speak loudly, it might be best to keep quiet and lay low. Don’t forget to actively communicate with your teammates.
